Choice-based care means staff pay attention to the animal in front of them. Individual personalities, moods, weather, health, training history, and safety can change what an animal is willing or able to do on a given day.
These experiences take place at Camel Safari in Bunkerville near Mesquite, not on the Las Vegas Strip. Advance reservations are required.

Positive reinforcement in everyday language
Handlers reinforce behaviors they want to see with outcomes the animal values. Training can support daily husbandry, veterinary cooperation, movement between areas, enrichment, and safe guest experiences.
Positive reinforcement is not a claim that an animal will always choose the same behavior. It is a practical way to build communication and give staff useful information about comfort and motivation.

The guest's role
Move, speak, feed, touch, and photograph only as directed. Before departure, guests follow the property's hand-washing or sanitizing procedure. Calm behavior makes it easier for staff to read the animal and preserve a good experience for the rest of the group.
What this approach does not claim
It does not mean every animal always participates, that stress can never occur, or that touching is owed to a guest. It also does not support attacking other operators or claiming Camel Safari is the only ethical operation.
